On Friday June 25th Frans Laurentius, Dutch art dealer from Middelburg, took his PhD at Utrecht University on the subject of the life and works of the Dutch Art dealer Clement de Jonghe, a colleague art dealer from the 17th century.

H&DG published the trade edition of this interesting work on an art dealer in the Dutch Golden Age, with a very large stock of over 60.000 engravings and probable but not proven connections with the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn.
