Dr Gabor Lukacs (1937), former research director of the most important French research centre for medicinal chemistry, has published over 160 papers of which 25 jointly with his Japanese colleagues and directed 22 doctoral theses. Several of his students are full-professors in various universities. He has spent many years on researching and writing his important work Kaitai Shinsho, the single most famous Japanese book of medicine & Geka Soden, an early very important manuscript on surgery.
